Additional Driver
All additional drivers must meet all rental requirements. Additional drivers can be added at any rental location and at any time during the rental. An additional driver fee of 12.00 CHF (excl. VAT) per day up to a maximum charge of 120.00 CHF (excl. VAT) applies.
After Hours Service
Park the car in the rental return area. There is a drop box where the customer should leave the a copy of the rental agreement and the keys. The vehicle remains the renters responsibility until it is checked in by an Enterprise employee the next business day.
Age Requirements
The minimum age requirement for all vehicles is 21. A young driver fee of 19.90 CHF (excl. VAT) per day up to a maximum charge of 199.00 CHF (excl. VAT) applies for all renters between the age of 21 and 24.
Cross Border Policy
Vehicles can be driven in all European countries excluding Albania, Belarus, Bosnia, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, Russia, Kaliningrad region, Turkey and Ukraine. No additional charges apply for cross border travels. Customers are not required to inform the rental branch of their intention to leave the country with the vehicle and no prior require authorization is needed.
Damage Waiver
Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection (CDWTP) is an optional coverage that reduces the liability of the renter in the event of theft, attempted theft or damage to the bodywork of the vehicle, provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. If CDWTP is not included in the reservation, the renter has full liability for the vehicle. CDWTP is available for purchase if not included in the booking.If included in the reservation, the excess amount ranges between 1500 CHF and 3000 CHF (excl. VAT) depending on car class. Excess will be charged every time a vehicle is damaged or the vehicle is stolen. Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection is not insurance.
Damage Waiver Exclusions/Voids
Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection does not cover: tire punctures, wheel damage, interior damage, wrong fuel, roof damage, undercarriage damage, damage to lights or lenses, damage from weather, natural disasters, damage from riots or civil unrest, damage from dangerous substances.
Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection will be voided if damage is caused by: driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, unauthorized driver, racing or speed contest or competition, unlicensed driver or driver training, driving over state or international borders in violation of the Rental Agreement, gross negligence or recklessness, or driving off of a regularly maintained roadway.
Damage Dispute Resolution
Renters wishing to discuss or dispute any matters concerning damage to the rental vehicle should contact our damage recovery department on Customerservice@enterprise.ch.
One Way Drop Policy
All rentals where the vehicle is not returned to the same location as it was collected from will be subject to a one-way fee. This one-way fee varies based on car category, location, and pick-up date. The exact amount of the one-way fee will be displayed during the reservation process when entering the dates, the desired route, and car category.
Exclusive Policy
Cost of rental includes time and miles, third party liability, unlimited kilometers, VAT, Airport fee, Winter fee and Road tax.
Refueling Service
As a customer, you have a choice as to how you would like to pay for fuel.
Option 1 - Prepay Fuel
This option allows the renter to pay for the fuel at the time of rental and return the tank empty. No refunds will be issued for unused fuel.
Option 2 - We Refill
This option allows the renter to pay at the end of the rental for fuel used but not replaced. Prices will be higher than local fuel prices. Additional charges may be added.
Option 3 - You Refill
This option allows the renter to return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as received to avoid extra fuel charges.
Personal Accident Insurance
Personal Accident Cover
Our Personal Accident Cover provides you with financial compensation in the event of an accident with your rental vehicle or while getting in or out of the car. This coverage applies to the registered and named driver as well as their passengers for the duration of the rental. Coverage amounts: Up to CHF 30'000.00 per person in the event of disability, CHF 15'000.00 in the event of death.
Forms of Payment
All major credit cards, issued by either American Express, Mastercard and Visa are accepted. All cards presented must be in the renter's name. A security deposit plus the estimated cost of the rental will be taken at the time of rental. The deposit is 1000 CHF for the categories up to and including Intermediate and 1500 CHF for the categories Standard and above.
Roadside Protection
Roadside Assistance Protection is an optional coverage available for selection by the renter. Roadside Assistance Protection covers the costs of overnight accommodation and onward travel by taxi, train, or bus for all passengers in the vehicle, up to a total cost of 500 CHF. If necessary, a replacement vehicle will be delivered within 24 hours in Switzerland. You must adhere to all rental terms and conditions to receive the benefit of Roadside Assistance Protection. Roadside Assistance Protection also covers the cost of repair/replacement for the following: - Misfuelling (only if the renter realizes and informs the rental company before the engine has been started following refueling)- Loss of the vehicle key or the key locked inside the vehicle- Flat car battery- Running out of fuel
Renter Requirements
The renter and all additional drivers must present a valid driver's license at the time of rental. In addition to the valid driver's license, the main renter must present an official photographic identification (e.g. passport) and a credit card issued in their name. All persons with a driver's license not issued in Latin script (e.g. German, French, Italian, English) must carry an international driver's permit, in addition to their driver’s license from their country of origin.
Arrival Directions
After your arrival, please stay on the Swiss side of the airport and follow the signs to the on-site rental cars counter. Our rental office is located in the terminal.
Supplemental Liability Protection
Supplemental Liability Protection (Third Party Liability) cover is required by law and included in all rates. All vehicles in our fleet are insured against damage or injuries caused to a third party and third party property as a result of an accident involving the hire vehicle. You must comply with all the rental company’s terms and conditions in order to receive the benefit of the insurance provisions.
Supplemental Liability Protection Exclusions/Voids
Supplementary Liability Insurance - Third Party Insurance will be voided if damage is caused by: driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol or gross negligence or recklessness.
Zero Excess
Zero Excess will be voided if damage is caused by: failure to secure the vehicle keys, failure to lock the vehicle, unauthorised repairs on the vehicle, use by an unauthorised driver, use by an unlicensed driver, use for hire and reward, use of the vehicle for any illegal purpose or to deliberately cause injury or damage to property, racing, pacemaking, teaching someone to drive, use whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs, use of the vehicle outside of the country without our permission, overloading the vehicle with more passengers than seatbelts, towing, off-road use, transporting dangerous or noxious substances, or wilful or wanton negligence.
Zero Excess Protection Exclusions/Voids
Zero Excess does not cover interior damage, undercarriage damage, damage from riots or civil unrest, damage from dangerous substances, damage caused by the use of the wrong fuel or any failure to take all reasonable measures to look after the vehicle keys or any other device which unlocks the vehicle and/or enables the vehicle to be started.
